Stone Cold Steve Austin had plenty of job titles during the Attitude Era: WWF Champion, beer-drinking hellraiser, professional pain in Vince McMahon’s ass... and, apparently, Celebrity Deathmatch’s resident claymation mad scientist.
This shirt celebrates Stone Cold’s gloriously bizarre run on MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch, where Austin actually voiced his own clay counterpart and regularly showed up as commentator, inventor, technical expert, and occasional participant in the show’s ultraviolent nonsense. The design features Stone Cold in full late-’90s glory, proudly dangling the skeletal remains of some poor bastard who clearly should’ve known better, alongside classic WWF and Celebrity Deathmatch branding.
It’s a perfect artifact from that magical moment when professional wrestling, MTV, claymation, and gratuitous cartoon dismemberment somehow occupied the exact same cultural universe.
