This shirt recreates the obscure “Blue Thunder” #28 tee worn by Dusty Rhodes on World Championship Wrestling television in September 1986. Hidden beneath the Dream's black blazer was a tribute to Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Pedro Guerrero, the five-time All-Star known as “Blue Thunder” who wore #28 in Dodger blue.
Reconstructed from vintage footage and period references, the design pairs Dodgers-inspired blue script and underline with Guerrero's bold red 28 — a wonderfully specific collision of mid-'80s baseball and wrestling history.
Printed on a heavyweight, garment-dyed Comfort Colors tee for the soft, broken-in feel of a shirt that could've survived nearly forty years in Dusty's closet.
